{"id":809,"date":"2026-08-17T22:22:48","date_gmt":"2026-08-17T22:22:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/depthguide.com\/?p=809"},"modified":"2026-08-18T22:09:20","modified_gmt":"2026-08-18T22:09:20","slug":"the-fog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/depthguide.com\/?p=809","title":{"rendered":"The Fog"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rogue Entity Encounters<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Common Habitat:<\/strong> Unanswered messages, unfamiliar places, ambiguous relationships, incomplete information, waiting periods, uncertain futures, organizational change<br><strong>Appearance:<\/strong> Rumination, speculation, competing explanations, premature certainty, imagined threats<br><strong>Danger Level:<\/strong> Moderate<br><strong>Feeding Pattern:<\/strong> Empty spaces in the map<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The message says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cCan we talk tomorrow?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That is all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Four words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nothing else happens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And yet, within twenty minutes, an entire civilization has been constructed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Something is wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You made a mistake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They found out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They&#8217;re leaving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You&#8217;re getting fired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Someone died.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perhaps several governments have collapsed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Remarkable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Four words entered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Four thousand words appeared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meet <strong>The Fog.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Field Identification<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Fog appears when important information is missing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Something happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But you do not know what.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Someone changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But you do not know why.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A decision is coming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But you do not know what it will be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The mind dislikes unfinished maps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So it begins drawing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sometimes brilliantly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sometimes disastrously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fog Is Not Ignorance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ignorance is simply:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>I don&#8217;t know.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fog is what happens next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>I don&#8217;t know, therefore perhaps\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now possibilities appear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The problem begins when possibility quietly changes categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perhaps becomes probably.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Probably becomes obviously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Obviously becomes fact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No new evidence arrived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Only fog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Encounter<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A woman sent a proposal to someone she hoped to work with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They had seemed enthusiastic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cSend it over. I&#8217;d love to look at it.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She sent it Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tuesday:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wednesday:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thursday morning:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Still nothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By Thursday afternoon she had developed several explanations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The proposal was amateurish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She had asked for too much money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She had misunderstood their interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They were being polite before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They had shown it to someone and laughed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By Friday she was embarrassed she had sent it at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then an email arrived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cSorry for the delay. My daughter has been sick all week. This looks great. Can we talk Monday?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A week&#8217;s worth of architecture vanished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The buildings had never existed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Mind Is a Prediction Machine<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This tendency is not stupidity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prediction is useful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the bushes move, something may be inside them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If someone&#8217;s behavior suddenly changes, something may have changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If a machine makes an unfamiliar sound, investigate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Brains use incomplete information constantly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Without this ability, ordinary life would become impossible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But prediction is not perception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Fog becomes dangerous when we forget which one we are doing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fear Draws Monsters<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When stakes are high, fear becomes an enthusiastic cartographer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A medical test is pending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A loved one is late.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The boss schedules a meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A strange sound comes from downstairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The blank portion of the map fills quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And fear rarely draws:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Everything is probably completely fine.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fear specializes in dragons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hope Draws Monsters Too<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Fog is not exclusively negative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Someone smiles at you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>They like me.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A recruiter says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cWe were impressed.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>I got the job.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Someone says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cWe should do this again.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>This is becoming something.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perhaps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hope can manufacture certainty just as easily as fear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The creature does not care whether the invented landscape is beautiful or terrible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It feeds on invention mistaken for information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Social Fog<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Human beings are especially foggy terrain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We cannot directly inspect another person&#8217;s thoughts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Why did they say that?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Why didn&#8217;t they invite me?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Why did they look away?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Why did they use a period instead of an exclamation point?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An entire mythology can develop around punctuation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sometimes the simplest counterspell is extremely advanced:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ask them.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Organizational Fog<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The manager leaves unexpectedly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nobody explains why.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By lunch:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They were fired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No, they quit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There was a fight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company is restructuring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Layoffs are coming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Someone saw boxes near accounting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By afternoon, the organization contains seventeen unofficial intelligence agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Information vacuums rarely remain empty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rumor colonizes them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Leaders Create Fog Accidentally<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When people know something is happening but receive no information, they still need a model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So they build one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is why:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cI don&#8217;t have the answer yet. Here&#8217;s what I do know, and I&#8217;ll update you Friday.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">can be valuable leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Fog Loves Waiting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Waiting for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Replies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Arrivals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Announcements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nothing is happening that you can influence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So the mind works overtime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The absence of action creates space for simulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sometimes the traveler spends more energy surviving imagined futures than eventually dealing with the real one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rumination Is Walking in Fog<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You examine the same evidence again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perhaps another angle will reveal certainty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sometimes reflection produces insight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But eventually:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No new evidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No new question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No new conclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just another lap through the mist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At that point, thinking may no longer be investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It may simply be motion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Fog Creates False Memories<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is subtler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You know:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>They didn&#8217;t respond.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Later you remember:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>They were ignoring me.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Those are different statements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One is observable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One assigns motive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Repeated interpretation can become so familiar that it begins feeling like memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Be careful what you write into the historical record.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Separate the Layers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A useful field technique:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What I Know<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They have not answered since Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What I Think<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They may be upset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What I Fear<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They no longer want to work with me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What I Hope<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They&#8217;re simply busy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Excellent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now four different information classes are no longer wearing the same uniform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Name the Unknown<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sometimes the most stabilizing sentence is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cI don&#8217;t know why.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not satisfying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Still accurate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Or:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cI won&#8217;t know until Friday.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Fog now has a border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You are not required to solve an unknown before information capable of solving it exists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ask What Evidence Exists<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What could this mean?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Almost anything could mean almost anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ask:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What evidence do I actually have?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What explanations fit that evidence?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Several may remain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Leave several.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A map can contain unexplored territory without immediately becoming useless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Generate More Than One Story<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your mind insists on filling the blank, make it work harder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They did not respond because:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They&#8217;re angry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They&#8217;re busy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They&#8217;re sick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They forgot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They drafted a reply and never sent it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Their phone broke.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They need time to think.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They were abducted by exceptionally organized geese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One explanation suddenly looks less inevitable when standing beside six others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You do not need to believe the geese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The point is to break monopoly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Get Closer to the Terrain<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fog is often defeated by information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ask.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Measure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p threatening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A familiar road can feel completely different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The terrain itself may not have changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your access to information changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That distinction matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
