The forest already knows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A single step can shake the ground.<br>A single push can move what others cannot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the elephant carries a secret spell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not the spell of breaking obstacles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The spell of making room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The elephant sees another traveler struggling along the path and pauses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The world says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Move forward. Take what is yours. You are strong enough.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the elephant knows something deeper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Strength is not only the ability to move through the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Strength is the ability to soften the world for someone else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So the elephant offers the ancient spell:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8220;You first. Then me.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is Compassion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not weakness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not surrender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not forgetting yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The young adventurer thinks compassion means giving away pieces of themselves until nothing remains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The guardian learns the higher form:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A lantern does not become weaker because it shares its flame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A river does not become poorer because it gives water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A tree does not become smaller because it offers shade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The gift is part of the nature of the thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But even the elephant must remember:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A wounded guardian cannot guard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The spell requires balance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;You first&#8221; does not mean &#8220;never me.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It means:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;I recognize that your journey matters because my journey exists in the same forest.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Compassion spell creates a hidden effect:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When one creature is cared for, the entire path changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A little less fear.<br>A little more trust.<br>A little more room for everyone to breathe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The forest becomes different because someone chose kindness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That is the magic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not controlling others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not demanding the world become gentle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Becoming the kind of creature that leaves gentleness behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every traveler leaves messages on the road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some leave warnings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some leave maps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some leave a small glowing mark in the darkness:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8220;Someone cared here.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">May you find those signs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">May you cast the Compassion spell when you can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And may you remember:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The greatest strength of the elephant was never its size.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was its heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Spell Name: CompassionSchool: Guardian MagicElement: Gentle StrengthEffect: The ability to make another creature\u2019s path safer without abandoning your own.
